Jones County Arts
organization’s purpose is to advocate, foster and promote the arts in Jones County, Georgia.
Jones County Arts is a community theater program that has been providing opportunities for youth and children since 2016. Over the last nine years, we have performed more than 20 musicals and have seen tremendous growth in our student participation, with numbers increasing from 15-20 to 25-40 per show. It's been a joy to watch our students learn and develop their skills, and we're proud to have had some of them go on to pursue theater in college or become drama teachers.
Our Team
Jones County Arts is led by Lisa Mullis, who founded the organization after directing several shows at her children's elementary school. Lisa is also a music teacher at Mattie Wells Elementary School and has an extensive background in performing arts.
Our assistant director, Rosie Miles, is a drama teacher at Ridge Road Elementary in Washington County.
Bethany Tapee is our communications director. She is a student at Ga College and State University as well as working in the Jones County Board Office.
We are proud to have such talented individuals leading our organization.
